Universal Studios, Singapore

Universal Studios Singapore opened on 18th March 2010 and is Southeast Asia' first movie theme park (the only other Universal Studios in Asia is in Japan).  Universal Studios Singapore covers an area of 49 acres and is located on Sentosa Island.  The park itself is divided into seven themed zones, with over 18 attractions that surround a large lagoon.  The themed zones include The Lost World (the big attraction being WaterWorld), Far Far Away (home of Shrek), Madagascar, Ancient Egypt, Sci-Fi City, Hollywood and New York.  We went to Universal Studios on a Saturday with some of David's former staff and it was busy.  On any given weekend, it is common for Universal Studios to have around 19,000 visitors per day.  That said, although it was busy, fortunately we didn't have to wait too long on any of the rides and we all had a good time.
