Michael Bublé in Singapore

Canadian crooner Michael Bublé came to Singapore in January for two concerts.  The concerts were held at the Grand Ballroom of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel.  We were fortunate to get tickets for one of the concerts, as both were sold-out.  

Michael Bublé is a charismatic and entertaining performer and he performed many of his hits.  Like with his other concerts, he encouraged audience participation and even walked through the audience which got people in a frenzy (he walked down the aisle where we were sitting and we got pretty close to him; reminded us of his March 2011 concert where we had a very similar experience).  The first time we saw him in concert was ten years ago in Vancouver and then we saw him in March 2011 in Singapore.   It was a great evening and we were thrilled that we got to see him in concert again.

Friends Visiting Singapore

In January we had two groups of friends visit us in Singapore and it was good to see all of them.  

Luigi and Alessandra

Luigi and Alessandra arrived in Singapore on New Year's Day for a four day visit.  The last time we saw Luigi and Alessandra was a couple of years ago in London, so it was nice to see them again in this part of the world. Here we are with them at Ku De Ta at the top of Marina Bay Sands Hotel, where we enjoyed drinks and the amazing view.   

Colleen

A week after Luigi and Alessandra were in Singapore, my friend Colleen and her family arrived for a week long visit.  Colleen and I have known each other since we were 5 years old, which makes Colleen one of my oldest friends.  Colleen, her husband Eugene and their daughter Stacey were visiting from Sydney, Australia.  The last time I saw Colleen was just under a year ago in Sydney and it was good to see and catch-up with her again.

Gardens By The Bay On New Year's Day, Singapore

On New Year's day we took our friends Luigi and Alessandra to Gardens by the Bay for dinner.  After dinner we took a walk through the gardens, which were lit up and which looked absolutely spectacular.
